Below you will find information regarding the coronavirus and frequently asked questions. This page will be updated as required.

 

14/09/2020 Update: Glasgow City, Renfrewshire, Dunbartonshire, North and South Lanarkshire Coronavirus Restrictions

The below restrictions apply to the Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and Dunbartonshire, North and South Lanarkshire council areas. We are therefore unable to provide our Magic & Mayhem show or supply soft play for within your home. Outdoor performances of our Magic & Mayhem show, soft play hire and outdoor bouncy castle hire are able to still go ahead within your private garden.

 

You can still meet two different households outside, including in gardens, and in hospitality settings, providing existing Scottish Government guidance is followed.

 

This means no more than two households and 6 people, excluding children under the age of 12 meeting outdoors or in a hospitality setting.

Meeting People Indoors

If you live in one of the affected areas listed above, in order to help prevent the spread of coronavirus you should not:

 

  • Host people from any other households in your home, unless they are in your extended household.
  • Visit people you do not live with in their home no matter where that is, unless they are in your extended household.

You can still meet people outside, in gardens, and in hospitality settings provided you follow existing guidance on meeting people outdoors.

 

From 14/09/2020 - Further Restrictions

Following the latest Scottish Government announcement from Monday the 14th of September the following restrictions apply across Glasgow & Lanarkshire and the rest of Scotland.

 

You Can...

 
 
  • Meet 2 other households at home indoors* or outdoors, no more than 6 people in total. *excluding Glasgow City, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire, East Dunbartonshire and West Dunbartonshire North and South Lanarkshire, outdoor only.
  • Children under the age of 12 from either of the two households do not count towards the total of six.
  • Children under 12 do not need to maintain physical distancing. There is no limit to the number of households that children aged under 12 can meet in one day.
  • Young people aged 12 to 17 can meet up to 2 other households at a time, (in groups of up to 6 people in total), the same as adults. But there is no limit to the number of households that they can meet in one day.

How this effects the services we can provide:

  • We can still provide a magical birthday celebration with our Magic & Mayhem Show to your household and one other household. 
  • We are able to supply bouncy castles and soft play hires, weather permitting, to be setup in your private garden for your household and one other household to use.
  • We can provide our outdoor Garden Party Entertainment package for your household and one other household.

I Wish To Make A New Booking

Can i make a booking?

We are currently able to provide Bouncy Castle Hire, Soft Play Hire (excluding ball pools) and our brand new Magic & Mayhem Garden Show. 

If you wish to make a booking for a party package taking place from October then please contact us. Dates are based on a first come first served basis with the following time slots available:

 

Morning: 10am - 12pm or 11am - 1pm (1 slot available)

Afternoon: 3:30pm - 5:30pm or 4pm - 6pm (1 slot available)

 

For communions, christening or parties longer than 2 hours time slots do not apply. Please contact us for availability and further information.

 

Due to current restrictions currently in place we are unable to provide our party packages in community halls or venues until these have reopened. As soon as any announcement is made regarding the reopening of venues we will provide an update.

Do you have any party entertainment suitable for a party at home?

Yes, Kool Kids Entertainment now have available our Magic & Mayhem Show along with some hire services available. These services can be delivered and performed at your home address or garden.

 

Please note these services are subject to government restrictions, guidance and advice the date that the performance or service is due to take place.

 

What precautions are Kool Kids Entertainment taking regarding the coronavirus outbreak?

Kool Kids Entertainment already pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our equipment, with all items (particularly soft play items, ball pools etc.) being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between hires. However we recognise that we may need to take extra steps to prevent the possible spread of the coronavirus COVID-19. We wash our hands thoroughly with hot water and soap before and after commencing deliveries and collections. We use hand sanitising gel throughout the day, prior to and following each collection and delivery.

 

Kool Kids Entertainment pride ourself on the cleanliness of our equipment which is cleaned to an exceptional standard.

 

I Already Have An Existing Booking

What precautions are Kool Kids Entertainment taking regarding the coronavirus outbreak?

Kool Kids Entertainment already pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our equipment, with all items (particularly soft play items, ball pools etc.) being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between hires. However we recognise that we may need to take extra steps to prevent the possible spread of the coronavirus COVID-19. We wash our hands thoroughly with hot water and soap before and after commencing deliveries and collections. We use hand sanitising gel throughout the day, prior to and following each collection and delivery.

 

Due to the current situation with Covid 19 (corona virus), for the interim all existing bookings for party packages due to take place in March, April, May, June, July and up to August will be 'transferable' to a future date throughout 2020 and next year 2021 at no penalty, subject to availability. Meaning that if you have a paid a non-refundable booking fee on a party package we will happily give you an alternative later date throughout 2020 & 2021 at no additional cost.

I wish to cancel my party package booking due to coronavirus?

Our cancellation & refund policy applies and would have been agreed too when making a booking with Kool Kids Entertainment. During these uncertain times and as a gesture of good will any bookings for dates before July 1st 2020, your booking fee and any payment made will be applied to a future booking, throughout 2020 & 2021.

 

I wish to cancel my booking that is taking place in March or beyond?

For bookings made from March 2020 our cancellation & refund policy applies and would have been agreed too when making a booking with Kool Kids Entertainment. The booking fee is non-refundable and will be forfeited. This fee covers our administrative costs when reserving your date, assets, equipment and any material goods required to provide the bouncy castle, soft play or party package.

 

Will I get my deposit back if I cancel?

Kool Kids Entertainment do not take a deposit. Instead we take a booking fee payment of 20% of the total booking cost and this is non — refundable. This fee covers our administrative costs when reserving your date, assets, equipment and any material goods required to provide the party package.

My venue has cancelled my booking due to Coronavirus?

If your venue cancels your booking due to Coronavirus then there isn't much we can do. Please let us know as soon as possible. Due to the current situation with Covid 19 (corona virus), any booking made before 1st March 2020 for a party packages due to take place from March and up to August will be 'transferable' to a future date at no penalty, subject to availability. Meaning that if you have a paid a non-refundable booking fee on a party package and are worried about the spread of the virus and want to take precautions we will happily give you an alternative later date throughout 2020 & 2021 at no additional cost.

 

When can I re-book my party package?

You may re-book your party package for dates from August onwards subject to current government restrictions being relaxed / removed and also subject to our availability. Please see below for further information.

 

How to re-book?

If you have postponed your party package due to coronavirus any payments made including your non-refundable booking fee payments will be applied to your new booking within 2020 & 2021 as a gesture of goodwill. We would advise that you rebook as soon as possible to ensure that you get your preferred date and time. There will be many people that have postponed parties and events and will be looking to rebook these as soon as it is safe to do so.

 

In order for us to provide the maximum flexibility we will be offering the following time slots on a first come first served basis, please contact us first to check availability and please consider these time slots when booking venues:

 

Morning: 10am - 12pm or 11am - 1pm (1 slot available)

Afternoon: 3:30pm - 5:30pm or 4pm - 6pm (1 slot available)

 

Account Credit Q&A’s

As a gesture of good will your non-refundable booking fee payment for bookings that were due to take place in March, April and up to July has been applied as a credit on your account with Kool Kids Entertainment. The credit is non-transferable and no cash alternative is available. The original booker will need to re-book using the original details provided when initially booking.

When will the account credit be applied to my account?

Once you have contacted us to confirm that you wish to postpone your party due to your venue being closed or following government advice we will email you confirmation and details of the account credit.

 

When will my credit be valid until?

Your account credit will be valid for party package bookings until 31/12/2021. Please ensure that you rebook in 2020 for dates in 2021.

 

Can I give the account credit to a friend?

No, account credit is non-transferable and only applies to the original person who booked.

 

Can I book a different package?

Yes, you can book any package at the same or greater value to your original booking. A revised invoice will be sent detailing the costs.

 

Can I use the credit for just a bouncy castle or soft play hire for my garden?

As an alternative you may book a bouncy castle or soft play setup for an outdoor grass garden hire as long as the weather and setup location is suitable.

Again as a gesture of goodwill and to give the maximum flexibility the following discounted price will be given which may be more or less than your original booking fee payment.

 

You may choose one of the following:

  1. Bouncy Castle £60.00 (Princess, Pirate or Paw Patrol themed)
  2. Bouncy Castle £75.00 (Party themed castle with slide)
  3. Soft Play Setup £60 (Multi coloured or Pink & Blue)
  4. Soft Play Setup with Ball pool £90 (Multi coloured or Pink & Blue) - Currently NOT available.

Price is subject to 10 mile / 20 minute travel time. Additional delivery charge may apply for locations exceeding this. A cleaning charge may apply depending on any additional requirements we are requested to carry out.

 

Bouncy castle and soft play hire available from May to October only.

 

Are there any booking dates excluded?

Yes, the following dates are excluded 30th, 31st October 1st, 5th November, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 30th, 31st December 2020.

January 1st, 2nd, October 30th, 31st, 24th 25th, 26th, 27th 28th, 31st December 2021.

 

Can I use the credit towards a party next year (2021)?

Yes, you may now transfer your party to next year 2021 as a gesture of goodwill. Please ensure that you book with 2020 for dates in 2021.
